This week, the first thing we did was to make a shopping list.

We will use servo not only for steering rudder and elevator but also for stabilizing the vehicle during a vertical rise. Therefore, there are 3 types of servos in the list. In order to lift up aircraft vertically, it is necessary for motors to produce big thrust. Motors and ESC which we chose will produce thrust twice as much as our airplanes weight.

W also started to make tale-plane based on the blueprint I've written before. I cut balsa wood sticks and glued them. The progress is shown in the picture. We will finish tale-planes next time.

Lastly, we designed ribs for wings. Some ribs are really big because they are supposed to work as air ducts, which makes propellers more efficient.

サーボについては,ラダーとエレベータの操舵に加えて,垂直上昇時の安定化のために重心移動をさせる機構に用いるため,3種類を注文した.モーターとESCは,垂直離陸を実現するために,機体重量の2倍ほどの推力を生むことができるように選んだ.

また,前回書いた図面をもとに水平尾翼,垂直尾翼を作り始めた.現状は写真の通りである.ラダーの形状は,エレベータとの干渉を防ぐための工夫である.次回には骨組みを作り,紙を張って完成する予定だ.

最後に,次回以降に主翼を作るために,リブの設計を行った.一部のリブは,プロペラの効果を高めるためのダクトとして働くため,非常に大きく設計している.
