In this week, we conducted the first flight test. In advance, we prepared a giant box made of cardboards and tapes to carry our plane safely, because our plane can be broken by wind. We went to a gym with the box in the Friday morning. There, we set connected a battery with the plane and checked that the rudder and the elevator, then we started a flight test. Unfortunately, our plane didn’t fly as we expected. After the flight, we had a meeting. We focused on the instability of its roll angle and assumed that our plane need larger dihedral angle. Then, we discussed how to change its dihedral angle. We compared some plans and decided to adopt ‘two staged dihedral angle’ style.

・It cannot fly straight.
・It cannot fly slowly.
・It cannot fly steady.
・It cannot keep its roll angle.

先週機体が完成したので、今週は機体運搬用の箱の製作、飛行試験を行いました。離陸することはできたのですが、うまく飛ぶことはできない、という結果となりました。その後班員で話し合い、二段上反角にすることで上反角効果を強め、ロール安定性を確保する必要がある、という結論に至りました。
