This week our team continued making the main wing. We put in the trailing edge and the other diagonal elements. However, the positional relationship between the diagonal elements was not ideal. Therefore the main wing was weak against torsion. Also, the rib near the wing tip happened to have a bigger angle of attack, after finishing the wing.
We also worked on the electric circuit that shall be used to control the plain during the autopilot phase. We finished making the schematic file on Eagle(free software), but the actual placement of the components is yet to be determined. We found that there was a problem regarding the micro-computer chip (AT-Mega328p) we were thinking of using. We found out that it is hard to write the bootloader for arduino into the chip if it is a surface mount type.
Next week we are planning on changing the positional relationship between the diagonal elements in our main wing. We also plan to take of the rib on the wing tip, and put in on again with a smaller angle of attack. This shall make the Main wing stronger and harder to stall.
We have chosen to change the micro-computer to a DIP type which will make the bootloader easier to write. By next week we would like to make a proto-type circuit, using the facilities in building 13.

今週は主翼の後縁及び斜め部材を入れました。完成した主翼は斜め部材の位置関係により、ねじりに弱いことがわかったので来週以降に改良する必要がありそうです。回路に関してはEagle上で回路図(schematic)は完成したものの、実際の基盤の素子の配置や配線が終わるのは来週になると思われます。また、マイコンへのArduinoブートローダーの書き込みが困難であることがわかりました。ブートローダーの書き込みが容易なDIP型の物に変更する可能性があります。
