2014 summer semester 8thJune 18, 2014

This week the teams continued the production of the main wings. Each team has different kind of concept, so the size, shape, and structure of the main wings also has some originality. Taking main spars for example, one team utilized T-shaped section combined balsa wood, but another team utilized carbon pipes and the other team utilized a small thin balsa wood reinforced by carbon sheet. The strength and rigidity of main wings depends significantly on the spar, so these difference will be interesting to compare when we actually fly the airplanes.
